Valdaora is a nice village amidst the Italian Alps and is surrounded by green alpine pastures, woods and by the magnificent peaks of the Dolomites. Looking to the South from our hotel you can admire the Braies/Pragser Dolomites whilst looking to the North the Ries/Rieserferner Alps with the Collalto/Hochgalls Glacier. In the East and West you find the green Pusteria/Pustertal Valley.

Valdaora is the hearth of the Natural Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies and offers splendid view of the surrounding Italian Alps and the Dolomites. This wonderful location makes our hotel the ideal starting point for hikes and walks in the mountains. During the winter Valdaora turns into an exclusive winter resort thanks to its vicinity to the ski resort of Plan de Corones.

 

Valdaora / Olang: small but nice!

Despite the small number of inhabitants Valdaora (in german Olang) features a wide selection of restaurants, pizzerias, pubs and shops. Above all in the winter season this little village turns into a real jewel for skiing holidays thanks to its pubs, après-ski and discotheques. The boutiques, the sports outfitters, one gas pump and the chemist’s shop offer to the guests all what they need.

In the major town in the surroundings, Brunico, just 12 km away, guests can visit the town museum, the folklore museum and the ancient castle.
